Prefer more important because the ly is unnecessary. (Important is an adjective and modifies a noun, and importantly is an adverb and modifies a verb.)

• More important, we make education a fun experience (correct).
• More importantly, we make education a fun experience (incorrect).

Note: The same guideline applies to the phrase most importantly.
