groundsman—(also: groundskeeper) a man who maintains a playing field or the grounds of a property:

landsman—(also: landman)
1. a person who lives and works on land (as opposed to seaman):
- He viewed the sea either as a landsman from the shore or, like a landsman turned sailor, amidst waves that roll and winds that blow.
2. (Petroleum Industry) land consultant responsible for obtaining permission to drill an oil well, build a pipeline, etc.:
- Her husband took a job as a landsman with an oil company, and they moved to Williston.
