news agency—(also: press agency) an organization that provides news coverage to subscribers, such as newspapers, etc.:

newsagenta person who keeps a store or stall selling mainly newspapers and magazines:

  • Her father was a newsagent, so she devoured comics and magazines as well as fiction.
